Verdun Street, Loneragan Street, Lupin Hill Grove & Quadrangle Place - Proposed Formalised Parking Embayments

Prior to making any changes to the current parking arrangements, we are seeking feedback to understand resident preferences for parking in the area.
The City proposes to formalise the existing parallel parking embayments through use of holding lines in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards, to define each bay. Under the City’s Parking Local Law, vehicles will be required to park within the holding lines. This eliminates the potential for single vehicles to occupy more than one bay when currently zoned as informal parking. It should be noted that the existing parking embayments were designed to accommodate a maximum of two cars only.
How can you provide feedback?- Head to the document library to view the drawing which outlines the proposal

The bollards proposed for installation will be charcoal in colour and manufactured from sustainable recycled plastic. A metal swing gate will also be installed adjacent to the car park to retain access for service vehicles. The bollards will preserve the passive recreational activities the park is currently utilised for. The objective of this project is to reduce the potential for unauthorised vehicle access and subsequent park damage.
The bollards are proposed to be installed approximately one (1) metre from the kerbline. The City can re-assess this alignment should community feedback indicate a mutually agreeable alternative.
These works will complement an upgraded drinking fountain, complete with tap and dog bowl, as well as a new concrete bin pad and relocated park name sign.
