The City is progressing with the installation of a new multi-purpose electronic scoreboard to cater for the AFL, cricket and casual users at Allen Park oval (see below by clicking on the heading).

The City has carefully selected a position at the base of the tree line on the north east corner to ensure residents view of the reserve is not impaired.

The benefits of this type of electronic scoreboard include a central control from the pavilion and an electronic roller-shutter that closes automatically when not in use to protect the scoreboard from the impacts of weather and acts of vandalism. The community will also be able to advertise its events and important announcements.

The City is proposing to commence the site preparation and the installation during October, with the commissioning of the scoreboard to be completed by the first week of November.

If you have any concerns in relation to this project, please contact the City’s Building Maintenance Coordinator, Marcus Sinden on (08) 9273 3500, or by emailmsinden@nedlands.wa.gov.au.
