What happens to my feedback?

All comments, ideas and suggestions received from the City’s engagement activities are collated and used to inform Council-decision making processes for the development of strategies, programs and activities.

How can I participate in the City’s engagement activities?

“Your Voice Nedlands” is an on-line engagement tool for the City of Nedlands.  If this is the first time participating in engagement activities, you will need to register using the link at the top of this page.  You only have to register the once and then log-in each time you participate in an engagement activity.  You can opt out by unsubscribing at any time.

The on-line engagement tool is the main hub for the City’s engagement activities.  Depending on the project size and significance to the City, you may be invited to participate in face-to-face activities, such as workshops, focus groups meetings, open days, on-site surveys.  These types of activities are also publically advertised on the City’s web site, and in the City’s local newspapers, the Post and the Western Suburbs Weekly.

What is the etiquette to participate in the on-line activities?

In order to play a positive part in the discussion and to give your views maximum impact we encourage you to follow the etiquette guide.

    How are comments moderated?

Every comment is valued for its content.  This engagement hub allows everyone to have a say and it brings out many different ideas and viewpoints.  A single comment may have as much influence as 100 comments if the idea is a good one.

Moderation is carried out by Bang the Table Pty Ltd who are independent to Council.  The moderators do not edit or alter any comments and will only remove comments deemed to be significantly off topic, offensive or malicious, in which case they are removed from the site immediately.  Comments that do not adhere to the moderation rules will be removed and you will be notified of this by email. Refer to the moderation guidelines.

What rules apply to the online engagement?

Participation is governed by terms that you are asked to agree with when you register to participate. Read the Terms of Use.

How can I provide feedback or make suggestions not relevant to the engagement activity being undertaken?

If you would like to provide us with any other questions, feedback or suggestions, please complete forward an email to council@nedlands.wa.gov.au. Your email will be forwarded to the relevant officer to provide a response.  Alternatively you can complete the online form.

We will endeavour to reply to your questions in a timely manner with the most accurate information that is available.

    Is my privacy protected?
