    CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

The City has completed a review of parking prohibitions on Smyth Road. The City considers the on-street parking for Smyth Road, between Stirling Highway and Gordon Street, is not appropriate due to narrow pavement width and relatively high traffic volumes of approximately 5,000 vehicles per day. The parking obstructs the flow of traffic and creates unsafe conditions for road users.

It is proposed to change the existing 3 hour parking prohibition to No Parking 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Please refer to the document library to view the proposed changed to parking prohibitions.

For queries, please contact the Project Officer - Shaun Fletcher on (08) 9273 3500. Further updates on this project will be posted on this page.

Feedback in relation to this proposal will be accepted until Monday 8 April 2019 by providing comment on this page or emailing council@nedlands.wa.gov.au.

The City has completed a review of parking prohibitions in the Hollywood Precinct area which comprises measuring the parking occupancy level, having regard to the high demand for parking in the area from the hospitals. The existing prohibitions were deemed appropriate, however resident amenity could be improved by allowing resident parking on one side of the street.

The proposed change is to enable parking on one site of Burwood Street, Croydon Street, Campsie Street, Kingston Street and Verdun Street for permit holders only. The opposite side of the road will remain as no parking at all times for all users.

Residents can apply for parking permits if required. Eligibility conditions apply. Find out more online at The City's website or by calling the City on (08) 9273 3500.
