    For those of you that have walked past the building recently, you may have noticed the upgrade is nearly finished! Construction has been completed and the building is now undergoing compliance testing and the last few finishing touches.

    The City has received a potential funding opportunity to install park equipment at Lawler Park in Floreat. At present, the City is considering options following your feedback. More than one option may be considered which will be dependent on the amount of funding received, and the cost of the equipment.

    The City is currently obtaining development approval in order to construct the All Abilities Play Space, work is progressing on the design and fundraising is continuing.

    It's an exciting time for the City with the demolition works completed and construction underway. The new concrete slab for the larger new change rooms has been laid and the brick work has been started. The roof over the hall is also being removed for replacement.

    The main hall will be fully refurbished and will receive a fresh clean new look to match the new sections of the facility.

    Temporary toilets are available on site and the majority of the car park is still available for use.

    Construction of the replacement cricket pitch at David Cruickshank Reserve has commenced. The pitch area has been excavated and the concreting has been completed. The pitch will need to cure for 28 days, and following this period the turf levels will be adjusted to ensure the area is flat, and a line-marked synthetic surface will be applied.

    Construction a replacement cricket pitch at David Cruickshank Reserve will commence during September 2016 with a focus on undertaking the on-ground works during the changeover between the winter and summer Club sports.

    The pitch will need to cure for 28 days, and following this period, a line-marked synthetic surface will be applied.

    This project follows the recent realignment of the AFL field and construction of the Adam Armstrong Pavilion.

    It's an exciting time for the City with the demolition works having now commenced.

    As part of the refurbishment of the Allen Park Lower Pavilion, the majority of the building will be fully replaced. The demolition works have well and truly started, there's no going back now!

    The old parts of the building that have been demolished will be replaced with new larger facilities including change rooms, public toilets, kitchen and stores. The main hall isn't going anywhere, as it will be fully refurbished and receive a fresh clean new look to match the new sections of the facility.

    Temporary toilets are available on site and the majority of the car park is still available for use.

    The installation of a 1.5 metre wide limestone coloured concrete path (approx. 90m2), connecting the Mount Claremont Community Centre playground to the Whitney Crescent bushland has been completed.

    This path improves access to the Community Centre and surrounds from Whitney Crescent, by linking in with the recently constructed limestone path within the Town of Cambridge; and improves access to the barbecue and picnic facilities.

    Allen Park Pavilion is about to receive a much needed refurbishment.

    This project is in line with the City’s ten year Strategic Community Plan which addresses the sporting and recreational needs of the community.

    The refurbishment includes some demolition and construction of new change-rooms, refurbishment of the hall, along with internal changes to provide for a new kitchen/kiosk, toilets, storage and a new patio. Fencing upgrades will also occur.

    The Council awarded the construction contract and works will commence from June/July 2016.
