Playground upgrade at Harris Park, Swanbourne

The City of Nedlands is planning an upgrade to the playground at Harris Park, Swanbourne during the summer of 2025/26. This upgrade will improve the functionality of the play space and ensure the equipment meets current Australian safety standards.

The proposed designs will include a combination of rubberised soft fall for improved accessibility and white sand for play. While shade sails are not part of this specific project, the City is committed to enhancing shade in the area by planting trees nearby. Some shade elements may also be incorporated into the play equipment itself.

Stage 1: Have your say [concluded]

In Stage 1, we invited local families and community members to help shape the future of Harris Park Playground by providing feedback that could guide the development of three concept designs.

Stage 2: Vote on your preferred design [open until Friday 19 December]

The community vote on these three design options will play a major role in selecting the final design.

The three concept design PDF packs can be viewed on this page (see Playground concept designs link). One sample image from each of the design packs are also in the Photos link.

After reviewing the three design options, please take a few minutes to rank them in your preferred order by completing the Stage 2 survey.

Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.
