The Proposal
The City of Nedlands has recently received an application for a Residential Aged Care Facility located at No.16 & 18 Betty Street and No.73 & 75 Doonan Road, Nedlands.
The proposal can be summarised as follows:
- 90 x aged care suites
- Four (4) storey development with basement car parking
- Incidental café and multipurpose rooms available for resident use
- A physio room, treatment room, hair salon and consulting room which predominately caters for resident use, however, some external customers may make a booking
- 26 x car parking bays including 2 ACROD bays located within the basement level. Entry to the car park is via Doonan Road with an exit onto Betty Street.

The City will notify in writing all nearby property owners and occupiers of this development according to the City’s Local Planning Policy for Community Consultation for Planning Proposals.

Feedback received will be taken into consideration in the development of formal recommendations by the City to the DAP who will make the final decision on the proposed development.
