Stubbs Terrace Road Rehabilitation and Drainage Improvement - Section One
PROJECT BACKGROUND
The City is seeking feedback from residents, property owners, road users and other stakeholders on proposed road rehabilitation and drainage improvement works on Stubbs Terrace.
The project forms part of the City's staged road rehabilitation program and aims to improve the condition of the existing road pavement while addressing known drainage issues within the road corridor.
The City has undertaken site investigations and design development for the proposed works. Section 1 of the project is currently funded and has progressed to the detailed design and community consultation stage.
A draft design has been prepared and the City is now seeking community feedback before the design is finalised and the project progresses toward procurement and construction.
Please refer to the project drawing/map for the exact Section 1 project limits.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
The proposed Stubbs Terrace rehabilitation and drainage improvement works are intended to provide a safer, more reliable and longer-lasting road environment for residents, property owners and road users.
Improved road condition: Rehabilitation of the existing road pavement will provide a smoother driving surface, improve ride quality and reduce ongoing maintenance requirements.
More reliable drainage: Upgrades to the stormwater drainage system will assist in managing stormwater runoff, reducing localised ponding and improving the performance of the drainage network.
Enhanced road safety: Renewed line marking, replacement signage and associated road infrastructure improvements will help improve safety and visibility for all road users.
Improved streetscape presentation: Kerbing renewal, verge reinstatement and associated civil works will help improve the appearance and functionality of the road corridor.
Longer-term asset renewal: The project forms part of the City's ongoing investment in maintaining and renewing road infrastructure to support the future needs of the community.
PROJECT DETAILS
The proposed works include:
- rehabilitation of the existing road pavement
- upgrades to stormwater drainage infrastructure

COMMUNITY FEEDBACK
Feedback for the proposed project will be accepted from 8am, Friday 4 September, to 5pm Thursday 17 September.
The City is seeking feedback from nearby residents, property owners, road users and other stakeholders before the design is finalised. We would like to understand any local issues, opportunities or concerns relating to property access, parking, traffic movements and road safety, construction impacts and other site-specific matters that may assist in finalising the design.
Feedback received during the consultation period will be reviewed and considered alongside engineering requirements, safety standards, project scope, available funding and other project constraints. Where appropriate, relevant feedback will be incorporated into the final design and/or construction planning.
