The weed control was undertaken to control perennial and annual grass weeds and invasive geophytic weeds, commonly known as corms, bulbs and tubers.

Share Marine Parade - Coastal Dunes Revegetation Project on Facebook Share Marine Parade - Coastal Dunes Revegetation Project on Twitter Share Marine Parade - Coastal Dunes Revegetation Project on Linkedin Email Marine Parade - Coastal Dunes Revegetation Project linkCLOSED: This discussion has concluded.The City in conjunction with the Swanbourne Coastal Alliance have completed this project. $22,423.50 was received from the Western Australian Planning Commission through the Coastwest Grants Program 2015/16 to undertake the project “Restoration of Degraded Areas – Swanbourne Dunes”.
5100 coastal seedlings were planted which increased the ecological value of the coastal dunes by reducing erosion and invasive weeds as well as increasing habitat and improving the aesthetics of the area. Ongoing weed control and maintenance of green stock to be undertaken as required.
