Waroonga Road - Road Resurfacing and Associated Works
Road resurfacing and associated works will commence on 2November 2016 on Waroonga Road, between Stirling Highway and Princess Road. The works will include:
- Kerb removal: 2–7 November
- Profiling/site preparation: 8 November
- Installation of new drainage pits: 9–15 November
- Kerb preparation works: 15–21 November
- Road resurfacing: 23 November – 6 December
- New kerbing works 30–31 November
- Finishing works 8–13 December
Local traffic will continue to have access whilst closures are in place, on-site traffic controllers will be happy to assist, however there will be periods of time (approximately 4 hours) following the laying of new asphalt road surface where access to your property will not be permitted as the road cannot be driven on as it needs to dry. This also prevents your property from being stained with bitumen.
Drainage pits
New soak well pits will also be installed at appropriate locations to avoid clashes with service utilities and for effective road drainage.
Kerbing & Reticulation
The kerbing will all be replaced and upgraded with new standard semi-mountable kerbing.
Where necessary reticulation will be temporarily re-routed. Reticulation in the verge may be damaged during the works which the City will repair.
Please ensure that you test your reticulation system and report any faults to the City within 2 weeks of the works being completed. After this period the City cannot be held responsible for repairs.
For further information, please contact Robbie Black, Engineering Projects Coordinator on 9273 3500 or council@nedlands.wa.gov.au.
Council considers that the works to be undertaken will be of mutual benefit for ratepayers, businesses and road users of the City and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
