Strickland Street (between Alfred Road and Asquith Street): Drainage Installation Works

The City has contracted All West Plant Hire to undertake drainage improvements and associated works in the above section of Strickland Street. These works commence on Wednesday 17 May 2017 for a three week period, during the hours of 7.00 am and 5.00 pm.

The works will include:

Installing 7 drainage pits
Undertaking repairs to the kerbs, footpath and road
Installing new soak well pits for effective road drainage
Repairs to any areas damaged including reticulation

During this time there will be road closures in the vicinity of the work site with on-site traffic controllers assisting motorists through the road closure. Local traffic will continue to have access whilst closures are in place.

If you are a property owner, please ensure that you test your reticulation system and report any faults to the City within two weeks of the works being completed. After this period the City cannot be held responsible for repairs.
