Edward Street (between Broadway and Bruce Street) - Road Resurfacing and Associated Works
The City has contracted Civcon Civil to undertake road resurfacing and associated works on Edward Street, between Broadway and Bruce from 20 February 2017 for a period of up to six weeks.
The activities include:
· Kerb removal works | 17 February 2017 |
· Stormwater Drainage | 23 February 2017 |
· Profiling works | 2 March 2017 |
· Concrete works | 10 March 2017 |
· Spray sealing works | 6 March 2017 |
· Kerb installation works | 7 March 2017 |
· Backfilling works | 9 March 2017 |
· Asphalt works | 14 March 2017 |
During the works, road closures will be required with detours provided. Closures are planned to cease around 4.30 pm to minimise inconvenience. However we do ask that you consider increasing your commuting times during peak periods when planning your journey.
The operations team on site will endeavour to offer access to your property at all times, however there may be short periods when materials are required to cure. On these occasions the City will ensure contact has been made and suitable alternative arrangements have been discussed.
The kerbs will be replaced and upgraded with a new standard semi-mountable kerb. Where necessary reticulation may be temporarily re-routed to all the works to proceed. If the reticulation is damaged during this process, the City will make good any repairs. However it is important that you test your reticulation system and report any faults within two weeks of the works being completed. After this period the City cannot be held responsible for further repairs.
