Annual Environmental Weed Control Program - Kerbing, traffic islands, footpaths and shared use paths
CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.
City contractors will be undertaking environmental weed control works throughout the City during November 2017 on the city's road kerbs, traffic islands, footpaths, and shared use paths to eradicate annual and perennial weeds and grasses.
Due to the unpredictable nature of weather conditions, exact dates for spraying cannot be confirmed.
Treatment will be undertaken using a herbicide (glyphosate) by licensed contractors with the operations monitored by City officers to ensure the works and application of the herbicide complies with all safety, product and legislative requirements.
This treatment will not apply to residents who are on the City's non-spray register.
Traffic management will be undertaken during the treatment period. Signage as required by the Health (Pesticides) Regulations 2011 will also be clearly displayed on the contractor's vehicles.
