The City is developing a Public Open Space Strategy for the City of Nedlands. The Strategy will help shape the need for green, accessible parks and reserves across the council area based on current demand and future growth.

This project is being undertaken in a number of stages:

  • Stage 1: Understand how the community value and use the open space
  • Stage 2: Review of feedback, ideas and issues identified
  • Stage 3: Development of the draft Strategy
  • Stage 4: Adoption of the Strategy

The City apologises for this tool not functioning properly in the last day.

It is now fixed and we look forward to seeing the parks and public open space that you use and your thoughts about it.

You can map your thoughts by:

Clicking on the “Go to Map” icon, this will take you to the map.

The City of Nedlands map appears. You can make the map larger by clicking on the + button on the bottom right-hand side of the screen or use the wheel on your mouse.

Enlarge the map until you find the public open space, park or reserve you would like to make comment on. Remember the public open space can include all sorts of spaces for example school ovals.

Go to the “add a pin” section on the left-hand side of the map.

To add you comments, please click on the icon, click and hold-down the left mouse button. Drag the icon to the park you would like to make comment on. Un-click the mouse button. The pin will drop into place.

When the pin is dropped into position on the park, a box will appear so you can type your comments into it.

Then click on the submit button.

The Public Open Space Strategy helps shape the need for green, accessible parks and reserves across the City of Nedlands, based on current demand and future growth.

We are now looking at the use of our existing parks and seeking feedback from the community. We want to learn more about how you use your local parks, what you like about them, or what can be improved.

Please complete our short 5 minute survey, and go in the draw to win a Fitbit Charge 3 (Valued at $229).
