Consultation has concluded

The City of Nedlands is proposing to construct a new footpath link along Whitfeld Street, Floreat to connect Birkdale Street to Selby Street and other nearby community facilities.

The footpath along Whitfeld Street offers the following community benefits:

  • Provide disability access
  • Provide a safe environment for pedestrians to access public transport (bus stops)
  • Provide a direct, safe and efficient pedestrian connection from Birkdale Street to Selby Street.

Prior to the construction of the footpath, the City would like to understand the community's preference regarding the location of the footpath, particularly, those residents in close proximity to the proposed location. Please provide your feedback online.

    The City, as part of its footpath network infill program, is proposing to construct a path along Whitfeld Street to connect Birdkdale Street to Selby Street and other nearby community facilities thereby providing improved pedestrian safety, and accessibility to bus stops.

    Prior to the construction of the path, the City would like to understand the community’s preference in regards to its location and your feedback is invited.
