The City will review and advertise local planning policies on a case-by-case basis depending on the extent of the changes and in line with the Deemed provisions.

    Council resolved at the December 2020 Ordinary Council Meeting to adopt the Car Parking Local Planning Policy in accordance with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 Schedule 2, Part 2, Clause 6., subject to minor amendments as follows:

    1. Removing the existing minimum number of car parking bays required for a residential aged care facility of 12 or 1 per every 4 beds (whichever is greater); and
    2. Inserting a new minimum number of car parking bays required for a residential aged care facility of 12 or 1 per every 2 beds (whichever is greater).

    This Policy is available as part of the City's Local Planning Policies accessed via the City’s website and copies can also be viewed at the City's Administration Building located at 71 Stirling Highway, Nedlands, WA 6009.
