- Replacement of ramp into the building to comply with today’s accessibility standards.
- Upgrade of toilets, including UAT and baby changing facilities
- Kitchen refurbishment, including floors, benchtops, cupboards and fixings
- Refurbishment of storage area at rear of building, including suitable and secure storage for regular users
- Works to doorways where required to ensure suitable and safe
The City has also undertaken a few maintenance items during the COVID closure period as follows:
- Additional internal Painting
- Clean and oil of decking
- Upgrade of emergency exit lighting
- Commercial clean of carpets

Share Drabble House to become multi purpose on Facebook Share Drabble House to become multi purpose on Twitter Share Drabble House to become multi purpose on Linkedin Email Drabble House to become multi purpose linkThe City is finalising the tender specifications for the upgrade to Drabble House following the review of feedback received from the consultation undertaken.Some of these suggestions together with additional requirements from the City include a baby change facility, installing USB charger points with new power points, a fixed projector screen and projector together with providing computer (laptop) connectedness.Drabble House will become multi-purpose which will enable a variety of events to occur. Accessibility will also be improved to include a new accessibility ramp and pathway to enable dual entry to the building along with new disabled parking bays. -

The City is proposing to undertake the following improvements to Drabble House to the important and unique features of Drabble House will be retained a number of improvements are planned.
- Upgrade the toilets along with adding a larger toilet facility that is suitable for people with disability.
- Replacement of the ramp into the building
- Ensure all the doorways are suitable for everyone to have safe and suitable access to the building.
- Upgrade the kitchen.
- Improving the main rooms and adding some new features to improve the comfort.
- Renovating areas at the back of the building to provide secure and suitable storage.
- Improvements throughout include fixing up the exterior of the building where it is deteriorating and swapping out lights for LED lights.
