The City of Nedlands is inviting your comments on a JDAP Development Application at 97-105 Stirling Highway, Nedlands.

The Proposal

The City has received a State Administrative Tribunal Section 31 Reconsideration order for a development application to amend an existing Development Approval for a Mixed-Use Development (DAP/20/01770). The amendments are summarised as:

  • Redesign of ground floor plane.
  • Increase in number of apartments from 231 to 332.
  • Changes to internal apartment layouts.
  • Changes to dwelling mix.
  • Increase in basement parking from 504 to 580 car bays.
  • Change in western vehicle access point to be directly from Baird Avenue instead of via a rear laneway.

The amendments require advertising in accordance with the City’s Local Planning Policy – Consultation of Planning Proposals.

To discuss the proposal with City Officers during business hours you may contact the City’s Urban Planning Team on (08) 9273 3500 or email planning@nedlands.wa.gov.au.

Additionally, a City Officer will be available afterhours to review plans and discuss the proposal in the City’s Council Chambers on 1 March 2023 at designated times between 3pm and 6pm, by appointment only.

The City will notify in writing all nearby property owners and occupiers of this development according to the City’s Local Planning Policy for Community Consultation for Planning Proposals.

Stakeholders are invited to submit feedback online through the link below or via email at planning@nedlands.wa.gov.au

Feedback received will be taken into consideration in the development of formal recommendations by the City to the DAP who will make the final decision on the proposed development.
