The City of Nedlands is inviting your comments on a Development Application (DA) at 135 Broadway, Nedlands.

The Proposal

The City of Nedlands has recently received an application for an amendment (extension of time and alterations) to an existing DAP approval for a seven storey Mixed-Use Development (DAP/19/01655).

The City has received amended plans for the proposal (dated 28 May 2024). The plans modify the initial design in the following ways:

  • Rearrangement of the basement plan and resultant excavation which is now closer to the northern, southern and western lot boundaries
  • Rearrangement of ground floor car parking and car stackers, resulting in 2 additional car parking bays (total of 32 car bays)
  • Additional windows on storeys 2, 3 and 4 have been converted to non-major openings (frosted glass)

Additionally, a City Officer will be available afterhours to review plans and discuss the proposal in the City’s Council Chambers on Wednesday 24 April 2024 at designated times between 4 and 6pm, by appointment only.

The City will notify in writing all nearby property owners and occupiers of this development according to the City’s Local Planning Policy for Community Consultation for Planning Proposals.

Stakeholders are invited to submit feedback online through the link below or via email at planning@nedlands.wa.gov.au.

Feedback received will be taken into consideration in the development of formal recommendations by the City to the DAP who will make the final decision on the proposed development.
