The City of Nedlands is inviting your comments on a Development Application (DA) at Lot 551, No. 119 Broadway, Nedlands.

The Proposal

The City of Nedlands has recently received an application for a six (6) storey Mixed Use Development at No. 119 Broadway, Nedlands. The proposal will provide Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) which will meet the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) guideline requirements for residents who require high physical support.

The proposal can be summarised as follows:

  • The proposed development is six (6) storeys high.
  • A total of 15 Multiple Dwellings comprising of:
  • Two (2) one-bedroom apartments;
  • Ten (10) two-bedroom apartments; and
  • Three (3) three-bedroom apartments.
  • Each until is provided with a private balcony.
  • 18 residential car bays provided at the basement level.
  • Five (5) non-residential car bays and two (2) disable bays on the ground floor level.
  • A 46m2 Office use tenancy located on the ground floor level.
  • A 240m2 Consulting Rooms use tenancy located on the first floor level. The Consulting Rooms use tenancy will be used as a specialist ‘Neurozone’ gym operated by health practitioners who undertaken training sessions to assist in recovering and physical improvement for people with disabilities only.

On 20 August 2021 the Metro-Inner North Joint Development Assessment Panel deferred this item for a period of 120 days. Revised plans have been received on 6 October 2021 addressing the Panel's reasons for deferral. These plans are found in the Development Plans tab.

How can I make a comment about the proposed Development Application?

The City will notify in writing all nearby property owners and occupiers of this development according to the City’s Local Planning Policy for Community Consultation for Planning Proposals.

Stakeholders are invited to submit feedback online.

Feedback received will be taken into consideration in the development of formal recommendations by the City to the DAP who will make the final decision on the proposed development.
