This project is completed.

Roads 2000 will be carrying out road resurfacing and associated works on behalf of the City of Nedlands.

The works will commence on Alfred Road, Swanbourne on Monday 8 June 2020 and will include:

  • Kerb removal & reinstatement;
  • Excavation and road-base works;
  • Road profiling;
  • New asphalt base course;
  • New asphalt wearing course.

The works should be completed within a two-week timeframe however, this is dependent on the weather and resources.

Stage 1 Dayworks: 8–12 June 2020 between the hours of 7am to 5pm

The kerb removal and reinstatement works will be undertaken.

Lane closures will be implemented during the Dayworks utilising stop and slow boards. Local traffic will continue to have access and on-site traffic controllers will be happy to assist.

Stage 2 Night Works: 15–19 June 2020 between the hours of 7pm to 6am

The pavement and resurfacing works will be undertaken.

Road closures will be in place during the Night Works with detours around the work site, local access will be limited during the asphalt operations and if returning home at night you may be asked to make alternative parking arrangements for the shift duration.

The Night Works will be undertaken within the conditions of an approved noise management plan and every effort will be made within reason to minimise the impact of these works while completing in a timely fashion.

Please note that some preparatory works will need to be undertaken outside of these dates and may include surveying and paint markings.

You can view documentation related to the works such as site location, noise management plans and traffic management plans in the Document Library.
