The Council at their Ordinary Council Meeting in February 2021 resolved to adopt for advertising Complex Scheme Amendment No. 16 to the City of Nedlands Local Planning Scheme No. 3. This Scheme Amendment is for the purpose of re-classifying Fast Food Outlets as a non-permissible use (X Use) within the Mixed Use and Neighbourhood Centre zones.

The Amendment documentation is available for viewing in the document library and at the City Offices and available for comment via the Your Voice submission form.

What does this mean to you?

In undertaking a Scheme Amendment, it includes referral of the Scheme Amendment documentation to external agencies such as the Environmental Protection Authority for comment. Once the City is in receipt of these comments, the Scheme Amendment is then formally advertised and comment from the general public is sought to help inform and shape the finalisation of the Scheme Amendment.

The City is presently seeking the community's feedback on Scheme Amendment No.16 which relates to Fast Food Outlets.

Submissions close Wednesday 5pm 9 June 2021.
