Consultation has concluded
A restoration project along Swanbourne Dunes will be undertaken in 2017-18 with funding received through the Western Australian Planning Commission’s Coastwest Grants Program.
The City in partnership with the Swanbourne Coastal Alliance will undertake restoration and habitat protection works on the degraded areas of the coastal dune system in Swanbourne.
This project will increase the ecological value of the coastal dunes by reducing erosion and invasive weeds as well as increasing habitat and improving the aesthetics of the area.

Work commences from mid October

invasive weeds prior to the commencement of stabilisation works which are still scheduled to commence in late March/April 2018.

Site preparation is well underway consisting of initial control of priority weeds such as Trachyandra, Tetragonia and Couch grass. Further weed control will continue over the coming months in preparation of stabilisation work that is to commence in March/April 2018.
