Roundabout construction - Waratah Avenue & Alexander Road

Civcon will be carrying out roundabout construction on behalf of the City at the intersection of Waratah Avenue and Alexander Road, Nedlands. The works will commence Monday 3 February 2020 and be undertaken Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm.

The works will include:

• Demolition of the redundant kerbing and excavation for road widening;
• Adjustment of utility services;
• Installation of new drainage;
• Installation of new kerb, footpath and roundabout construction;
• New asphalt surfacing; and
• Line marking

The works should be completed within a four-week timeframe, dependent on the weather and resources. Please note that some preparatory works will need be undertaken prior to Monday 3 February 2020 and may include service location, surveying and paint marking.

The intersection will be closed for the four-week period and commuters are advised to follow detour signs and plan ahead to reach their destination. Local traffic will continue to have limited access to the shopping precinct on Waratah Avenue, and on-site traffic controllers will be happy to assist.
