CLOSED: This project has concluded.

Broadleaf weed control is being undertaken on all turf areas within the City's parks and reserves during August and September by licensed contractors under the supervision of City staff.

Due to the unpredictable nature of weather conditions, exact dates for spraying cannot be confirmed. However signage, as required by the Health (Pesticides) Regulations 2011, will be clearly displayed during the application process. The signage will be placed at each location and remain in place until the surface is dry.

The operations will be monitored by City staff in accordance with safety guidelines.

Please do not to enter onto the area while the signs are displayed.

City staff will be in attendance during and after treatment will be able to assist you with any questions.

The product being used is a weed-specific selective herbicide consisting of the active chemical combination of MCPA - 300 g/L + Clopyralid - 20 g/L + Diflufenican - 15 g/L and will be applied in accordance with the product label as required by state and federal laws.
