    Stage four of this project has been completed. Part of the grass verge on the western side of the railway line, from south of Shenton Park train station to north of Karrakatta train station has been revegetated.

    Following the removal of grass weeds and limestone rubble in May certified mulch was layed and local provenance water wise seedlings were planted in June.

    This project assist’s the City’s aims of protecting biodiversity, providing improved habitats and connectivity for local fauna and increasing the City’s capacity to absorb greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Work to commence on green corridor extension

    Stage four of creating the green corridor along the Nedlands section of the rail reserve has begun. Following the removal of grass weeds and limestone rubble, certified mulch will be laid over the project area. Waterwise native trees, shrubs and groundcovers will then be planted in June.

    The project assists with protecting biodiversity within the City, providing improved habitats for local fauna and increasing local capacity to absorb greenhouse gas emissions.
