The City of Nedlands is experiencing rapid development. As a result, we are preparing a Parking Management Strategy to ensure existing parking is managed efficiently and meets community needs. We are seeking feedback from ratepayers, residents, businesses and visitors about parking across the City to support the development of the Strategy.

The Strategy will set out how the City manages current parking. It will not consider future parking supply or planning policy.

To support this work, the City has engaged Level 5 Design, an independent Perth-based parking consultancy. Level 5 Design does not operate parking facilities or supply parking technology. They have developed parking strategies and policies for several metropolitan councils, including Cambridge, Vincent, Subiaco, Melville and Victoria Park.

This consultation gives the community an opportunity to:

  • share parking issues
  • suggest improvements
  • provide ideas for solutions across the City’s precincts

Following consultation, a Draft Parking Management Strategy will be presented to Council in the second half of 2026. The community will then have another opportunity to provide feedback.

Consultation Timeline

This consultation will be open for a period of four weeks (28 days).

Open: Friday 5 June, 8am

Closing: Thursday 2 July, 11.59pm
