What is the Positive Ageing Program?
The Nedlands Affinity Club forms part of The Nedlands Positive Ageing program which was formed to offer health enhancing activities that are stimulating and encourage community engagement at a nominal cost.
What were the results of the 2018 Survey?
People who attended activities described them as being beneficial for their health and well-being from the friendly social interactions and the friendships that have grown from participating in the activities.
Members liked the welcoming atmosphere, friendly people and the friendliness of everyone in building relationships. The inclusiveness and accessibility to the activities along with there being no pressure placed on members to participate was appreciated.
They thought the prices were reasonable and appreciated the pay-as-you-go system, the competency, friendliness and enthusiasm of the teachers and volunteers. People like the well programmed and variety of activities and were always welcomed to provide suggestions for new activities.
Overall, all respondents were satisfied of very satisfied with the services and activities provided and they would also recommend join the Affinity Club to friends.
What is the cost to be a member?
Membership costing $25 per financial year which entitles members to discounts for most activities.
Where are the Club’s activities held?
You will find the activities of the Club at the Nedlands Community Care (97 Waratah Avenue), or at the Dalkeith Hall and the Community Hive at Mt Claremont Community Centre.
