Council revokes planning policies

The Council at its Special meeting on 2 May approved for the following policies to be revoked in accordance with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 Schedule 2, Part 2, Clause 6:

Local Planning Policies

  • Cash in Lieu of Car Parking
  • Two Grouped Dwellings in Dual Coded Areas
  • Road Widening (Stirling Highway)
  • Cash in lieu of Car Parking – Government Road
  • Listed Heritage Places – Demolition Policy
  • Intensification of Residential Density
  • Reduction of Front Setbacks
  • Carports and Minor Structures Forward of the Primary Street Setback
  • Local Planning Policy: Sea Containers

Planning Council Policies

  • Development Approvals: Minimum Requirements
  • Domestic Receiving Dishes
  • Encroachments on to Rights of Way
  • Heritage Advice for Owners of Places of Significance
  • Home Business
  • Neighbour Consultation – Development Applications
  • Refund of Planning Fees for Places of Heritage Significance
  • Retention of Existing Dwelling During Construction of New Dwelling
  • State Administrative Tribunal - Response to Appeals
The purpose of revoking the policies is due to the implementation of the new Local Planning Scheme No. 3.

The City will review and advertise local planning policies on a case-by-case basis depending on the extent of the changes and in line with the Deemed provisions.
