Council approves a range of planning policies

The Council at a Special Meeting on the 2 May 2019 resolved to:

  • Prepare and advertise a range of policies for community feedback. These include residential development, parking, heritage, child care premises, State Administrative Tribunal processes and procedures, refunding/waiving of fees, planning and compliance and signs.
  • Adopt the policies resulting from community feedback for consultation of planning proposal and exempt development.
  • Adopt a range of policies without consultation
  • Revoke a number of Local Planning Policies and Planning Council Policies as they are no longer relevant following the introduction of LPS3.

The City will review and advertise local planning policies on a case-by-case basis depending on the extent of the changes and in line with the Deemed provisions.
