Community Consultation: John Leckie Pavilion - Licence Proposal
This consultation has concluded.
Background
At its Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 27 May 2025, the City of Nedlands resolved to defer a decision on the proposed licence agreement for the John Leckie Pavilion – College Park Sporting Association to allow for community consultation.
The Council resolution requested community consultation be undertaken to achieve a proposal that is acceptable for community and sporting users.
The aim of this consultation survey is to gather feedback from community and sporting users to help shape a proposal that reflects the needs and expectations of the community and sporting groups.
Purpose of this Consultation
The City is seeking community feedback on a proposal by the newly formed College Park Sporting Association Inc. to licence a portion of the John Leckie Pavilion, located at College Park in Nedlands.
The proposal involves granting the Association a licence for the Pavilion's upper-level hall. Full details are available in the Council report from 27 May 2025, which can be found in the Documents section at the top right of this page.
We invite you to complete the survey on this page. Your feedback will help inform Council’s decision, scheduled for consideration at the August 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting.
IMPORTANT UPDATE | Wednesday 9 July 2025: With the imminent appointment of Commissioners to the City of Nedlands, we do not currently know whether the license proposal decision will be made in August 2025 as stated in the Key Dates section. We will provide an update once we know more. In the meantime, the survey will remain open until Friday 18 July 2025.
