Consultation has concluded

Are you a local resident near Hamilton Park, Mt Claremont (located between Charles Lane and Hamilton Gardens, Mt Claremont)? Would you like to provide your comments on any proposed changes to Hamilton Park and its amenities?

The City would love to hear your thoughts on the following:

  • The creation of a new Enviro-scape Master Plan for Hamilton Park.
  • Upgrading of the children’s playground to ensure ongoing compliance to the relevant Australian Standards and to improve accessibility and shade.

Your comments will assist the City to develop an overall concept plan for Hamilton Park as well as providing feedback on the upgraded children’s playground design.

Enviro-scape Master Plan
Issues being considered in the Enviro-scape Master Plan include:

  • The natural and built environment;
  • Water quality;
  • Conservation and climate change;
  • Accessibility;
  • Amenities;
  • Community use; and
  • Ensuring the reserve is fit for purpose.

Playground Upgrade
We are looking for your views on the following:

  • Accessibility;
  • Types of equipment to include;
  • photos of other playgrounds for consideration in the design;
  • Anything relevant ideas to enhance this playground for children.

Second Round Consultation
14 May 2021 - 5pm, Tuesday 8 June 2021
The City has provided residents and homeowners with three playground options designed from the feedback received in Stage 1 Consultation. The City is inviting the community to vote to gauge preference of the three designs:

How can you get involved, find out more or provide feedback?

  • View the designs options Document Library.
  • Vote on your preference by 5pm, Tuesday 8 June 2021.
  • Should you have any queries, contact a member of the Project Team (details on right-hand side of page under Who's Listening).
  • You are required to be a registered user of Your Voice in order to submit your comments. If you haven't already done so, don't forget to register via "Register to get Involved tab" on the right-hand side of this page. Registering will also enable the City to keep you updated on projects.

    • Mulching – garden bed mulching will take place on 14/4/2023
    • Planting – tree planting will take place from late May to early June 2023

    Following mulching and planting, this project will reach completion.
