The City of Nedlands is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified design professionals to join the City’s Design Review Panel. Membership to the City's Design Review Panel is for a period of two years commencing in March 2025. To apply, please use theNomination Form below.
About the Panel
Acting in an advisory capacity, the Panel will play a vital part in improving the design quality and functionality of new development within the City of Nedlands and provide the City with a range of expert advice on architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, sustainability, and other design aspects of proposals.
The Panel will draw from a pool of up to six built form and design professionals and two specialist members. Panel members will be remunerated at an hourly rate set by Council.
Suitably qualified professionals with demonstrated expertise in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, sustainability, heritage or other related specialist built form design professions are invited to nominate for membership.

Thank you in advance for your interest in nominating to be a part of the City of Nedland's Design Review Panel. The following nomination form has been prepared in accordance with the Design Review Guide published by the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, and the Office of the Government Architect.
In accordance with the Design Review Guide, you will also be required to upload a concise professional profile addressing the selection criteria, as set out in Part 5.6 of the State Government published Design Review Guide. Particularly, respondents are encouraged to demonstrate:
expertise in design review, design critique, or the provision of strategic advice on design quality issues; and
ability to analyse, evaluate, and offer objective and constructive feedback on complex design quality issues in design review, for evaluation of complex development applications and on strategic planning matters.
If applicable, evidence that the applicant is a ratepayer, resident or elector in the City of Nedlands. Applicants who are not ratepayers, residents or electors in the City of Nedlands will still be considered.
