The Proposal

The City of Nedlands has received an application for amendments to the approved Multiple Dwelling development at 1A Thomas Street, Nedlands. The amendments proposed are summarised as:

  • Removal of car stackers and addition of a third basement level for parking.
  • Reduction in number of apartments from 27 apartments to 26 apartments.
  • Removal of two car parking bays due to the reduction of one apartment.
  • Increase in height by 0.4m.
  • Minor modifications to internal layouts, façade and landscaping (refer to cover letter within the advertising materials on Your Voice).

The amendments require advertising in accordance with the City’s Local Planning Policy – Consultation of Planning Proposals.

To discuss the proposal with City Officers during business hours you may contact the City’s Urban Planning Team on (08) 9273 3500 or email planning@nedlands.wa.gov.au.

Additionally, a City Officer will be available afterhours to review plans and discuss the proposal in the City’s Council Chambers on 26 October 2022 at designated times between 4 and 6pm, by appointment only.

Feedback received will be taken into consideration in the development of formal recommendations by the City to the DAP who will make the final decision on the proposed development.
