Welcome to the City of Nedland’s Council Plan

This plan combines our Strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan into a single document, fulfilling the statutory requirement for all local governments to provide a Plan for the Future.

It outlines the community's strategic priorities, vision, and desired outcomes for the next 10 years, offering a cohesive and collaborative roadmap for the City's four-year delivery program of actions.

The plan will undergo annual reviews to ensure its continued relevance in an ever-changing environment.

The Council Plan has been meticulously crafted based on extensive community consultations conducted in 2023, incorporating nearly 1,700 responses from community members through the MARKYT® Community Scorecard and community workshops. This valuable feedback addresses community needs, aspirations, priorities, and perceptions of the services, projects, and facilities provided by the City of Nedlands.

The City of Nedlands and Council have adopted the FUTYR® strategic planning approach for its development, articulation, and presentation. This approach is aimed at consistently enhancing engagement, integration, and accountability in service delivery.

This plan encompasses:

• The City's current services.
• The community's aspirations for the City of Nedlands.
• The Council's strategies to achieve and allocate resources for its desired outcomes and objectives.
• How success will be measured and reported.

The City of Nedlands and Council are now actively seeking final community feedback on the Draft Council Plan before its ultimate adoption. Your input is highly valued as we work together to shape the future of our community.
