Project Overview
The City of Nedlands is progressing with a civil maintenance project to install a stormwater chamber over an existing pipeline in Charles Court Reserve in aid of improving the City’s stormwater maintenance program and alleviating flooding issues within the area.
Due to required excavation works and high water table levels, groundwater will be diverted for the duration of the works to the area indicated on the provided locality plan.
To ensure public safety, the City will utilise temporary fencing to control public access to the site for the duration of the works.
Key Dates
It is anticipated that the works will begin with excavation on Wednesday 12 June and shall take place on weekdays between the hours of 7.00am to 5.00pm.
These works may take up to 7 days to complete.
Project Scope
The scope of the project works includes:
Site preparation;
Identification and protection of trees and vegetation to be retained;
Setup and operation of test plug and dewatering equipment;
Removal and storage of existing turf;
Removal off site of all excavated materials;
Works to existing drainage pipe;
Installation of drainage chamber;
Reinstatement of turf;
Shutdown and demobilization of dewatering equipment; and
Making good and site clean-up at completion.
