Following Council's approval for the installation of the nature-based playground, the construction of the playground is now complete.
This upgrade meant the playground has increased accessibility for all users and all equipment complies with the relevant Australian Standards.

Following Council's approval for the installation of the nature-based playground, the construction of the playground is scheduled to commence with site establishment on Monday 15 July.
This project is to upgrade the playground to achieve increased accessibility for all users and to ensure the equipment complies with the relevant Australian Standards.

The Council Committee considered a report on the outcomes of community engagement and a recommendation for a preferred playground design at its meeting on Tuesday, 9 April 2019. The Council considered the Committee's recommendation at its ordinary meeting of Council on Tuesday, 23 May 2019.
The Council approved for the installation of the nature-based playground.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in this project. The City is now considering the feedback and the community's overall preference was to construct a nature-based playground.
A report with a recommendation to proceed with a replacement playground will be presented to the April round of Council meetings.
Further updates will be provided on this engagement page following Council's decision.
