The Council at its meeting on 27 November received the report and recommended approval to the Metropolitan West Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) that the application (reference DAP/18/01497) for 327 aged persons’ apartments and a temporary display apartment at (Lot 103) No. 15 Karella Street, Nedlands.
The recommendation is subject to the conditions and advice notes contained in the Responsible Authority Report (dated 8 November 2018).

Thank you for your contributions to the development application. The period for providing submissions has now closed.
The next step in the process is to assess the submissions received and to prepare a report for Council consideration. The report will be placed on the agenda for the 27 November ordinary meeting of Council. The agenda will be available for inspection approximately one week prior to the meeting.
This engagement project provided opportunities for people to:
- Attend a Community Information Session at the City's Administration
- View hard copies of the documents during business hours at the City's Administration
- Telephone the City on (08) 9273 3500 and ask to speak to a member of the Statutory Planning Team
- Complete a submission online
- Write or email submissions or mail or hand delivered and addressed to the City.

22 residents attend an information session at the City's administration building on Monday 22 October 2018.
Attendees were able to find out more about the development application for aged persons’ dwellings at 15 Karella Street, Nedlands by talking with officers from the City’s Planning department. Officers were also able to assist residents with any queries they had about the proposal.
