  • Peace Memorial Rose Garden - Best Practice Care Tips Demonstration

    You are invited to participate in a free demonstration on rose care at the Peace Memorial Rose Garden by the Rose Society of Western Australia on Wednesday 18 April from 10 am to 12 noon. The demonstration is being undertaken in conjunction with the City gardeners and will cover:

    • Rose dead-heading
    • Pest and Disease identification/treatment
    • Weed control
    • General rose care.

    The City of Perth is inviting people to a community information session to view and provide feedback on the proposed road safety improvement concepts and infrastructure upgrades for The Avenue in Crawley.

    All members of the public are encouraged to get involved and provide feedback on the proposed options. Details of the workshop are:

  • College Park Fitness Equipment to receive a face lift

    The City will be commencing works on the fitness equipment at College Park on Monday, 12 February for a period of three weeks. There are three pieces of fitness equipment being replaced: the hurdles, parallel bars and the roman monkey bars along with the replacement of soft-fall where needed.

    A new piece of fitness equipment is also being installed: a body twist.

  • Sewer relining Work - Claremont Project by Water Corporation

    The Water Corporation, whilst completing the relining work on the Claremont project may require access to the Waroonga Road Pump Station for a period of time.

    The Water Corporation have advised that the impact will be minimal however residents may notice some activity with vehicles and contractors accessing the pump station during the night.

  • Closure - Mt Claremont Community Centre Basketball Courts

    The City is undertaking further improvements to the Mt Claremont Community Centre basketball courts and will be closing the courts for public use for the period of the works.

    The improvements include the installation of the rubber softfall on the court perimeter which is scheduled for Tuesday, 6 February.

  • Hollywood Bowling Club - Car park maintenance works

    The City has appointed contractors, Roads 2000 to undertake drainage and asphalt works at the Hollywood Bowling Club car park from Tuesday 9 January 2018 for a period of up to six weeks.

    The timing of this project has been chosen to minimise disruption to regular patrons of the car park. Users of the car park are encouraged to utilise on-street parking bays in the vicinity of the club.

  • Water Corporation - Carrington Street Pump Station

    The Water Corporation have appointed Contractors, Georgiou, to undertake construction work at the Carrington Street Wastewater Pump Station in Nedlands between Monday and Friday, 7am to 5pm.

    The work is expected to be completed by the end of January 2018.

    The purpose of the work is to construct new below ground storage facilities to assist with the safe removal of wastewater.

    During this time, people may notice an increase in noise and activity at the pump station site.

    No access to private property will be required and work will not affect your water or wastewater services.

  • Shenton College - Works - Stubbs Terrace Road Works

    Shenton College have appointed Cockram Construction to undertaken works to connect the College's new car park to Stubbs Terrace.

    These works will include re-alignment and road surfacing works on Stubbs Terrace between Selby Street and the roundabout to Railway Road, commencing on Wednesday 6 December, for a five week period.

    Road and lane closures restrictions will be in place with detours around the work site to assist with ensuring vehicle and pedestrian movements occur in a safe and efficient manner.

    Between Monday 8 January and Wednesday 17 January, the contractors will not be allowing access for traffic movements to Shenton College and Grace Vaughan House.

    On-site traffic controllers will assist motorists and pedestrians to move safely around the work site.

    Variable message boards are onsite advising motorists of the change.
