The Perth Royal Show will be taking place from the 28 September to 5 October 2019. The City will be implementing a number of parking controls in relation to resident and verge parking, along with implementing temporary parking restrictions to ensure public safety during this time, as follows.

    TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS
Temporary parking restrictions will occur in a number of streets around the Claremont Showgrounds precinct (refer to map in the document library). The restrictions will only apply to the days of the event.
Any vehicles parking inconsistent with the displayed signage may receive an infringement notice.

    RESIDENT PARKING
The City will not be issuing parking permits to residents. If temporary restrictions apply to the area in which you reside, you need to seek alternative parking arrangements during this time.

    VERGE PARKING
If vehicles are parked on your verge without your consent, please contact the City's Ranger Services (see below). An officer will attend, and may issue an infringement to the vehicle owner.

For enquiries, please contact the Ranger Services on (08) 9273 3500 during office hours or email council@nedlands.wa.gov.au

The City's Ranger Services will be patrolling these areas whilst this event is occurring. Please adhere to the signage to avoid an infringement.

There is further information on the Town of Claremont’s website.

In the past, City of Nedlands staff have provided flowers or petals to members of the public, upon request, for special events.

Due to a dramatic increase in the number of requests, the City has been forced to restrict the gesture to authorised community and charity groups.

This decision has been made to ensure staff can continue to ensure the Peace Memorial Rose Garden remains a special place for everyone to share.

  • Claremont Stadium - Survey - Have your Say

    CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

Claremont Football Club has partnered with the State Government to build a state-of-the-art stadium, which is focal point of Landcorp’s “Claremont on the Park” precinct.

The development provides an opportunity for the area to become a focus for the western suburbs community, where people meet, eat, watch entertainment, bring their families and play.

The vision for the stadium and surrounds is that it will be a place with a strong sense of community identity and energy. It could involve buskers’ festivals, a people's art market or student music concerts – it will be a community centre or hub.

For it to be a genuine community hub, it needs to be based on the community's needs and desires. This is where the Claremont Football Club needs your help.

They are inviting your ideas, thoughts and comments via an online survey. Click here to access the survey.
