Proposed City of Nedlands Parking and Parking Facilities Local law 2016

The City has been reviewing it's current Parking Local Law and has proposed some changes for Council to consider. A report has been put up for a decision to be made at the full Council meeting on 23 August 2016 as to whether or not any changes will be progressed.

If a decision is made to progress any changes to the next stage, full public advertising will take place and formal public comment on the proposed changes will be sought.

You can download a copy of the proposed changes to the local law from the document library. The full report that has been put to Council for consideration can also be found on the City's website here, this provides a summary of the changes proposed and how this will impact on the community.

The changes proposed are intended to increase amenity benefits for City residents and rate payers, make the local law clearer and improve safety. The City is not seeking public comment on these currently as Council have not yet made a decision as to whether these will proceed, but Your Voice will be updated to provide you with all the information you need as any updates become available, and we will be very happy to answer any questions you may have.
